I have been training Ailis Aaron-Wolf for over 3 and half years. I have watch her prepare for her wedding, celebrate two anniveraries, and delievered her 1st beautiful baby boy, Nathaniel. She is a very dedicated to her training appointments. Despite all of life's challenges, she always adjust her schedule to have two training sessions per week. For the past two year, I've incorporate kettlebell training to her program. One day last year she came in and told me her big news that she's pregnant! Ailis receive the green light from her doctor to continue on kettlebell training, and I quickly contacted Sarah Lurie, RKC, founder of Iron Core kettlebell studio in La Jolla, CA for specific guidelines on kettlebell training for pregnant women. Based of her recommendations, we continue kettlebell training until Ailis reached her 8 month. The cool thing about all of this is Ailis only gained 16 pounds during her pregnancy! She delivered healthy baby Nathaniel in late February '09. Ailis is back swinging and snatching the kettlebell and the 16 pounds of course is gone! Go Ailis!! "Beautiful Diva Drops 31 pds with Kettlebell Training"
When I first met with Niya Gaines in late December ’08, she was about serious business on losing weight and changing her lifestyle. While sitting down discussing with her what it really takes to reach her goals, she took out a pen and paper to take notes. From that day on she immediately took action and started kettlebell training, healthier eating and committing to a new life overhaul. Niya arrived faithfully to her kettlebell sessions with a smile, and her smile became brighter each with week with the results she was achieving. Rain, snow, sleet, or hail, Niya was there on time! She consistently dropped the weight with no plateaus, and the 31 pounds was gone is less than 4 months. Niya is an excellent example for all women in need of a healthy life overhaul, but particularly women of African American descent. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention; African American women have the highest percentage of overweight/obesity in the US. Great work Niya! Share your successful journey to all and keep smiling and swingin’.
